Acrylic painting on gallery canvas with the image continued on all sides. Pure abstraction, I named this one ‘Span’, because it bridges two distinct painting styles that I have been exploring. One style being very controlled, and relying on color relationships contained in soft, geometric forms, and the other being a more random application of color mixtures applied to the canvas. I wanted to explore the relationship between the two.
